Project Finance Modelling with AI
6-week online programme | Beginning March 27th | USD 850
Join the first-ever training programme to apply AI to the complexities of Project Finance & PPP modelling.
The future of Project Finance Modelling is hybrid.
The only programme that teaches you how to combine human judgement with AI acceleration - designed specifically for Project Finance.
You already know AI is going to reshape how Project Finance models are built. The question is whether you'll lead that change or react to it.
This course is designed for professional Project Finance modellers and analysts who want to get ahead of the curve by actually building and reviewing models using two of the most capable AI tools available for Project Finance today.
Over six live weekly modules, you'll learn how to apply PF Nexus and Claude for Excel to the specific requirements of Project Finance modelling.
You'll start with core agent workflows and finish by auditing complex calculations and governing AI-driven change across your models. Every module includes live walk-throughs and take-home assignments to build your competence.
This is professional-level training for people who already model at a high standard and want to properly add AI to their toolkit.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
-
Get PF Nexus and Claude for Excel configured and ready. We'll walk you through permissions, Git setup, and the course starting models so you hit the ground running on day one.
-
Learn to work with AI agents effectively: clear prompting, structured planning, context management, and sub-agent workflows. You'll model revenue and operational expenses from a case study using both tools, then take home construction costs and financing to build independently.
-
You'll learn to extract reusable modelling components from existing models, build organisation-specific skill libraries, and deploy them into new work. The assignment has you pulling a complex calculation from a source model and redeploying it into a new model. Your homework is to develop a new skill and share it with the cohort - building a class-wide skills library in the process.
-
Move from generic modelling tasks to project-specific work. You'll learn to take a contract or report, plan its implementation in a model, and deploy tailor-fit calculations then use AI to verify the logic and produce clear documentation of what was built and why. The bonus material covers creating dynamic model logic flow diagrams using AI.
-
We’ll take a non-FAST model and rebuilding it in the FAST standard using AI. You'll learn to use AI to analyse and understand third-party models, automate the rebuild process, and verify parity programmatically using Python. The advanced material extends this into Monte Carlo analysis.
-
This module brings together everything you've learned. You'll use shadow modelling techniques from Module 4 and contract-to-model skills from Module 3 to independently audit a complex mechanism - specifically, an EPC bonus/damages calculation for a waste-to-energy project. You'll verify parity, find errors, and validate correctness using AI then turn the audited mechanism into a reusable skill.
-
You'll learn to use Git and source control to govern AI-driven changes, get AI to summarise its own work clearly, and review changes using agile-inspired workflows. The final assignment puts you in the reviewer's seat - assessing AI-modified models from a junior analyst. The advanced material covers automating the production of model update memos.
